Welcome!

Welcome to our site all about the heart of the Treasure Coast of Florida ‑‑ the counties of St Lucie and Martin. We are Diane Romer and Salvador Puente, REALTORS® with McAlister Properties LLC. Click on “About Us” to learn more or to send us an email message.

Our intent with this website is to introduce you to our corner of Paradise. Here you will be able to find much more than homes for sale. Under “Resources” you will see links to sites about schools, the government, utilities, etc. and under Things to Do there is  information about all the wonderful ways to have fun on the Treasure Coast.  Look for Featured Listings, Business Partner Referrals and Real Estate Tips for Buyers and Sellers under the “Blog Posts” heading.

As you scroll down you will find a slide show of properties in each County as well as a Quick Search Window to fashion a custom search.  Further down you will find sections dedicated to specific areas and/or communities within each county.  Please let us know if there is something you are looking for that you do not find; our site will continue to add content.

The Treasure Coast got its name from the Spanish Treasure that was lost in a hurricane in 1715 off the coast. Today’s “treasure” is the mellow lifestyle and friendly communities. Located on the Atlantic coast, midway between Miami and Orlando, our area boasts Chamber of Commerce weather, miles of beautiful sandy beaches, fishing and water sports, more than 50 golf courses and a family friendly environment – a great place to live, a great place to visit.

We look forward to meeting you and helping to make your next Real Estate move stress free!

St Lucie County

St. Lucie County Florida lies just north of Martin County. Roughly two thirds of the land is unincorporated and is largely agricultural. The incorporated areas are Fort Pierce, St Lucie Village and Port St. Lucie.

Ft. Pierce, was incorporated in 1901 and serves as the County Seat. The Sunrise City, as it is sometimes known, was awarded the 2005 City of Excellence Award by the Florida League of Cities for overall excellence in city government and in 2011 and Main Street Fort Pierce, Inc. received the Great American Main Street Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation in downtown.

Port St Lucie, the largest city in the county, covers more than 120 square miles and is home to approximately 170,000 persons. This city was incorporated just 50 years ago and with a close to 75% increase in population since the year 2000 has been considered one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Prices have fallen during the recession, but have now stabilized and are on the rise. Port St Lucie boasts almost 40 parks or recreational facilities. Golf and fishing are important activities and there are frequent community events held at the Civic Center and Tradition Square. The convenient location between 95 and the Turnpike makes Port St Lucie a good choice for commuters as well.

The County offers neighborhoods and gated subdivisions, condominiums, villas and single family homes.  Explore the links below to investigate the possibilities. Of course, direct any questions to us and we will be happy to assist you with your search.
